BACKGROUND
In 2018, the City Council and City leadership went through a strategic planning process and created a Strategic Planning Framework for the City. In addition to creating a vision, mission statement, and values, City Council adopted eight Critical Success Factors (things that must be achieved for the City to achieve its vision) and prioritized a number of initiatives for City staff to complete. Since then, the City Council and staff have used the Critical Success Factors to identify further priority initiatives. The dashboards available at the link above show the progress on each of these Strategic Plan Priority Initiatives from the 2018-2019 fiscal year, as well as the current list of priority initiatives for the 2019-2020 fiscal year.
City management also uses operating and performance metrics to track how efficient and effective our core operations are. In order to increase transparency, we have launched a user-friendly Operating and Performance Metrics Dashboard to show key metrics for each department.
