Draft Results of Citywide Historic Survey & Community Meeting
The City of San Marino’s Planning and Building Department is undertaking San Marino’s first-ever historic resources survey, to identify places of social, historical and architectural significance. Phase 1 included a Survey Map of the City as well as a Historic Context Statement. Phase 2 will include a refined survey map and list as well as a variety of tools for the City and the public to use to identify properties of interest. The overall purpose of the citywide survey is to record information on potential historic resources in San Marino. No properties will receive formal historic designation as a result of the surveys; this is a separate process subject to public notification, participation and review.

The City has scheduled a community outreach meeting on October 23, 2019 from 6pm to 7pm at the City Hall Council Chambers. Staff will provide a brief update regarding the City-Wide Survey. The intent of the meeting is to allow enough opportunity for the public to present feedback on the project and to provide information related to specific properties or districts.
