Live Scan

What it is
Live Scan is a process of obtaining an individual's fingerprints electronically.

Fingerprints are sent to the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) instantly after completion of Live scan.  Once the fingerprints are completed, they are run through statewide and national criminal database.

Live Scan fingerprinting is frequently required and recommended by all employees that requires interacting with the public.  Any occupation that requires working with children, teachers, childcare providers, coaches, and any medical field occupation; such as nurses and doctors, also require being live scanned.

Child Fingerprinting
If your child were to become missing, do you have a photo, description, or fingerprints? The San Marino Police Department will be able to provide a CD with all this information.
