Draft Citywide Traffic Circulation Study and Neighborhood Traffic Calming Toolbox

The draft citywide traffic circulation study and neighborhood traffic calming toolbox are available for review and comment by residents.  The plan was initially presented to the Public Safety Commission on April 5, 2021 and the Commission will be hosting a public comment-gathering at their May 3, 2021 meeting (please see the Commission’s webpage  for details about the meeting). Comments and suggestions can be made to the Department via email at PublicWorks@cityofsanmarino.org, by contacting us at 626 300-0765 or sending them to the Public Safety Commission at PublicSafetyCommission@cityofsanmarino.org.  The document includes a study of the existing street network condition (performed before the pandemic and representative of normal traffic operation), recommendations of possible intersection improvements to improve flow, and suggested features that could be included in the city’s neighborhood traffic calming toolbox.  The City Council will weigh-in on the draft study later this spring.  For more information, please contact the Department.
