CREATE A MEMORY WITH DAD THAT LASTS A LIFETIME
Father’s Day make and take event for dads and kids will take place June 12 at Lacy Park
Create a Father’s Day to remember at the City of San Marino’s “Make and Take with Dad,” an outdoor woodworking class that will see each guest leave with a handmade wooden tool box that’s ready for use.
No woodshop experience is needed at this event, which will be led by a recreation professional at Lacy Park.
Children ages 5-17 are welcome to attend with their dads—or their moms, grandfathers, uncles or any other figure who embodies the meaning of what it means to be a dad in someone’s life.
The one-hour woodworking class will take place Saturday, June 12, at 9 a.m. in the shady area just south of the park’s War Memorial.
The resident cost is $15 per toolbox ($17 per toolbox non-resident), which includes step-by-step instruction, all supplies and light refreshments.
Capacity is limited to 20 participants and seats are anticipated to move quickly, so please register soon at cityofsanmarino.org/register (Activity # 280512-01).
For more info call the Recreation Division at (626) 403-2200.
Masks are required for attendance, and the event will be conducted in accordance with applicable public health guidelines.
