Performance Management and Transparency
In 2018, the City Council and City leadership went through a strategic planning process and created a Strategic Planning Framework for the City. In addition to creating a vision, mission statement , and values, City Council adopted eight Critical Success Factors (things that must be achieved for the City to achieve its vision) and prioritized a number of initiatives for City staff to complete. Since then, the City Council and staff have used the Critical Success Factors to identify further priority initiatives.

The following reports show the progress on each of these Strategic Plan Priority Initiatives from the 2018-2019 fiscal year, as well as the current list of priority initiatives for the 2019-2020 fiscal year. These reports are updated quarterly. The current quarterly report was published in May 2020.

Please note: Priority initiatives reflect the special projects that City departments take on in a given year at the request of City Council. Accordingly, these reports do not reflect the day-to-day operational work the departments are doing to maintain the department's core functions and services.
Operating and performance metrics dashboard
City management uses operating and performance metrics to track how efficient and effective our core operations are. In order to increase transparency, we have launched a user-friendly Operating and Performance Metrics Dashboard to show key metrics for each department. These metrics are also updated quarterly, with current data available through March/April 2020.
