San Marino COVID Dashboard

The Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC) is no longer supporting the City of San Marino COVID-19 Dashboard.  For current data on COVID-19 cases within Los Angeles County, visit the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health's Daily COVID-19 Data website.  For data organized by City within Los Angeles County, visit the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health's COVID-19 Surveillance Dashboard and select Table: Community Case/Death.

The SALUS COVID-19 Dashboard was created by the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC) at Pepperdine University's School of Public Policy to provide Los Angeles County residents with an overview of how COVID-19 is affecting communities and the County as a whole.  The HSAC is a non-profit, academic enterprise, whose vision is to be the indespensible bridge for public safety collaboration in order to cause the Los Angeles region to be better prepared, more secure, and more resilient in the face of threats and hazards.

Definitions:
Death Rate:  The ratio between deaths and individuals in a specifed population and time.  To provide proportional comparisons between different size communities, the death rate is calculated per 100,000 people.  The death rate in the above graph is calculated as (Number of Deaths / Population of San Marino) x 100,000.

Social Vulnerability Index:  The CDC's Social Vulnerability Index looks at social factors that impact a community's disaster resilience, including poverty, lack of access to transportation, and crowded housing.  Click here for the CDC's Social Vulnerability Index Fact Sheet.
